Sow seeds directly in pots, grow bags, nursery trays, or seedling trays filled with Valar’s all-purpose potting mix or any light, well-drained growing medium. Keep the soil lightly moist and place it in a warm, bright, and ventilated spot. Most seeds usually start sprouting within 5–15 days, depending on the flower variety and weather.
The first blooms from the Pack of 7 Monsoon Sowing Flowering Bundle usually begin around 45–70 days after sowing for flowers like Zinnia, Sunflower, Portulaca, Celosia, and Balsam Tom, depending on weather and care. Blue Pea and Morning Glory may take around 60–90 days to bloom well. With proper sunlight, watering, drainage, and regular removal of dried flowers, the plants continue adding colour and freshness to your garden for several weeks.
Sowing Depth: 0.25 inch for Zinnia, Celosia, Portulaca, and Balsam Tom; 0.5–1 inch for Sunflower, Blue Pea, and Morning Glory in light, well-drained soil.
Best Sowing Place: Seed trays, nursery pots, pots, grow bags, balconies, terraces, garden beds, backyard gardens, and open soil.
Sunlight: 5–6 hours of sunlight daily. Sunflower, Zinnia, Portulaca, Celosia, and Balsam perform better with bright sunlight.
Watering: Keep the soil lightly moist, but avoid overwatering and waterlogging, especially during monsoon.
Transplanting: Transplant Zinnia, Celosia, Portulaca, and Balsam seedlings when they have 3–4 true leaves. Sunflower, Blue Pea, and Morning Glory can be sown directly in pots or grow bags.
Spacing: Keep 6–8 inches spacing for Portulaca and Celosia, 8–12 inches for Zinnia and Balsam, and more space for Sunflower, Blue Pea, and Morning Glory.
Support: Provide trellis, net, railing, or support sticks for Blue Pea and Morning Glory as they are climbing plants.
Care Tip: During monsoon, ensure good drainage and airflow. Remove dried flowers regularly to encourage more blooming and avoid fungal issues.
