Basil seeds grow best when sown in Valar’s all-purpose potting mix or a home-made, well-drained soil blend.

Sow seeds directly in grow bags or nursery pots filled with cocopeat and compost; keep lightly moist in a ventilated spot and they usually sprout within a week.

The first harvest of fresh basil leaves begins around 30–35 days after sowing, while the plants reach full maturity by around 70–75 days and continue to produce new leaves if regularly pruned.
